On Wednesday morning, Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte reported that Brighton & Hove Albion are interested in signing Internacional midfielder Johnny.
It was claimed that the Seagulls made an approach for the player, and the Colorado are demanding at least €8m for his sale.
It turns out that as Zero Hora now features a story on Brighton’s chase, they bring some exciting news about it.
The outlet first claims to have ‘confirmed’ that the Seagulls are interested in the signing. They add that there are other clubs looking for the player, and Internacional are expecting bids for him in the summer.
The interesting thing is that the Colorado are waiting for offers of at least €6m, so it sounds like they could end up selling him for less than expected. Plus it’s also said that the club ‘admit the need’ of making the sale.
Johnny recently signed a new contract at the club as he agreed with Internacional not to be sold in January. Now there’s bigger hope of a move, with Brighton and others seeming keen on making their attempts.
