Brighton & Hove Albion star Alexis Mac Allister was part of Argentina’s World Cup winning squad and his impressive displays in Qatar has seen him end up on the transfer agenda of top European clubs.
Juventus are among them and earlier tioday, we covered a claim from Gazzetta dello Sport the midfielder has let it be known he wants to play for the Serie A side.
It was also explained the Brighton player’s performances have bewitched the Turin club’s manager, Maximiliano Allegri.
The Argentina international’s father, Carlos Mac Allister, had a chat with TuttoMercatoWeb regarding the recent claims of the Old Lady’s interest to sign his son.
Mac Allister Sr admitted that Juventus are a “huge club” and one of the “most prestigious” club in the world. However, Carlos refused to reveal details of the clubs that have asked about the 24-year-old.
“I can only say that together with the club we will analyse the offers we receive, then we will decide what will happen to Alexis’ future. He is doing very well in England and he is grateful to Brighton because they gave him the possibility to reach Europe,” Carlos said.
“However, we cannot provide a price, nor do we say who called us. We don’t want to give information that could prejudice imminent negotiations, if any.”
Brighton had earlier insisted they have plans to retain Alexis at The Amex for several years.
Taking Carlos’ latest comments into account, it looks like the South American could leave the Seagulls in the coming windows, potentially as early as January, but that would take a lot of money.
