An integral part of the Brighton & Hove Albion set up these days, Yves Bissouma has been attracting a bit of attention.
His midfield performances under Graham Potter have been one of the highlights of the seasons during his 16 appearances, to the point where teams such as AS Monaco and Liverpool have taken an interest.
This is according to Foot Mercato, who explain English, French and German clubs are all after his services.
However, it’s made clear Bissouma ‘should finish the season’ with the Seagulls, as his entourage ‘would rather aim for an exit next June’.
It appears the Reds could be planning the future with Bissouma, as Georginio Wijnaldum still hasn’t signed a new contract and could easily end up elsewhere come the start of next season.
Add to that the injuries issues suffered by Naby Keïta, and there is a need for a midfielder in Jürgen Klopp’s plans.
Foot Mercato do say this is all ‘barring an offer that can’t be refused’ in January, so it depends whether or not Liverpool want to spend that much in the coming weeks.
