Argentine outlet TyC Sports today aired an exclusive interview with Brighton & Hove Albion star Alexis Mac Allister.
Most of the conversation was about the World Cup title, since the midfielder managed to become a very important player in the Albiceleste’s campaign, having helped them to win their third trophy.
Now with Mac Allister being on his peak, a potential exit from Brighton was also mentioned in the interview. And the player isn’t intimidated by that question, claiming he already has an idea of where he’d like to play next.
“I’d like my next team to be within the Premier League,” Mac Allister told TyC Sports (via German Garcia Grova).
Mac Allister was also asked about a potential replacement for him at Brighton, and obviously chose a compatriot for that.
Ezequiel Fernandez is a young defensive midfielder who plays for Boca Juniors and hasn’t even been called up by Argentina’s first team yet.
He’s recently been promoted to the club’s professional squad and still taking his first steps there.
Brighton already have an open channel with the Buenos Aires side, since that’s where they loaned Mac Allister to when he had problems getting a work permit in 2019.
