On April 24th, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported Brighton & Hove Albion are in contention to sign Mohamed Amoura. The Seagulls are joined by other clubs, including Liverpool, in the chase for the Royale Union Saint-Gilloise star.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who share more updates on the Brighton and Liverpool pursuit of the striker.
The Algeria international has scored 22 goals and registered six assists from 41 games for the Jupiler Pro League side this season. His form has caught the attention of Brighton, Liverpool and several other clubs across Europe.
Marseille have reached out for the 23-year-old, but the report warns them that they ‘will have a lot of difficulties’ due to the competition from England and Germany.
L’Equipe state Roberto De Zerbi’s side have a ‘priority option’ on Amoura due to their close ties with the Belgian club.
Liverpool, on the other hand, have made enquiries for Amoura ‘more recently’. In addition to the Premier League duo, Eintracht Frankfurt and VfL Wolfsburg are also in the picture to sign him.
Amoura’s contract lasts until 2027 and after impressing for the Belgian club in his debut season, the report states his valuation has increased to €20m.
