Deniz Undav arrived at Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer after managing 27 goals and 13 assists from 40 matches for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise last season.
The striker has failed to replicate his Union Saint-Gilloise form with the Seagulls.
This term, the German has managed one goal from 10 matches and that came in his side’s EFL Cup win over Forest Green in August. He is yet to start for Brighton in the Premier League.
Lack of game time has seen the 26-year-old already admit he could go out on loan in the winter market. This is where Galatasaray could be an option for him.
According to Hürriyet, the Süper Lig side want to part ways with Haris Seferovic and sign a striker who holds a Turkish passport. The Istanbul club are keen on Roberto De Zerbi’s man, partly because he has the passport.
Undav is the ‘first target’ for Galatasaray in January and they took action to try to add the Brighton attacker to their squad for the second half of this season.
Galatasaray’s idea is to sign him on a loan deal. The report further adds they have found out that Brighton are ‘keen on separation’ with the player. There’s no mention of whether Undav is open to joining the Turkish club in the next window.
