Brighton are no strangers to signing quality youngsters from across Europe and developing them into better players.
The Seagulls are now potentially looking to sign another talent and the player in question is St Pauli midfielder Marwin Schmitz.
TuttoSport have reported that the 18-year-old playmaker is attracting a lot of attention and while Juventus have come forward for him, multiple Bundesliga clubs like RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Stuttgart have also knocked on the doors for the teenager.
In the meantime, Brighton have ‘asked for information’ and the newspaper believes that Fabian Hurzeler’s side are attentive to Schmitz’s development.
Juventus plan to potentially land the youngster and place him into their Next Gen side, with the 18-year-old currently tempted by the opportunity to do that.
This could pose a threat to Brighton, who saw Hurzeler himself join from St Pauli last summer.
Schmitz has lots of options for himself and it remains to be seen what his decision will be.
The midfielder is yet to play even once for the German club’s first-team but has impressed for their U17s, U19s and Reserves’ side.
