Brighton and Hove Albion are currently leading the race for Hammarby youngster Bazoumana Toure, who has a host of Premier League clubs after him.

Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Manchester United and Arsenal are all keen.

That’s according to Fotboll Direkt, who report that Brighton are the ‘current hottest track’ for the 18-year-old winger.

They state that after ten clubs were mentioned as being interested in Toure in the summer, Brighton have stepped up the most in the race for the player.

The growing belief is that Hammarby are creeping closer to one of the Allsvenskan’s biggest transfers of all time as interest in Toure picks up.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace have all also shown an interest in the player, but it is Brighton who are leading the Premier League race. Wolfsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid are all also watching him.

The rumour mill around the youngster hasn’t stopped since he joined Hammarby but according to Fotboll Direkt’s information, it is Brighton who are out in front.

They’ve been picking up talent from the league for a while and bought Malick Yalcouyé from IFK Goteborg in the summer after signing Yasin Ayari from AIK in the past. The latter is now a first-team regular after making his debut this season.

FD have been told that Brighton’s representatives have made it clear that Hammarby’s asking price for Toure is not a problem. No official bid has been lodged yet, but negotiations are happening as they look to beat the long line of competition.
