Two days ago, Alfredo Pedullà stated Brighton & Hove Albion aim to close Diego Coppola’s signing within 48 hours. The Seagulls haven’t secured the Hellas Verona player’s services yet, but the operation is on the right track.
Wednesday’s edition of Corriere di Verona, a newspaper local to the Serie A club, reports Brighton are set to secure the 21-year-old’s transfer.
They state ‘medical visits and signing for Diego Coppola’ is on the way, indicating his move to The Amex is about to be completed.
Corriere di Verona state the Premier League club will pay €10m plus €2m in bonuses for the centre-back. They further add Hellas Verona will be entitled to receive 15% of a future sale.
The newly capped Italy international will sign a five-year contract with Fabian Hürzeler’s side. After acquiring Coppola’s services, the English club could then move on to potentially sign Stade Rennais’ Mahamadou Nagida.
That’s according to Wednesday’s edition of Ouest-France, who cover Brighton interest in the 19-year-old left-back.
The French newspaper states the Cameroon international could be sold to the Seagulls for €5m and they would immediately send him back on loan to Stade Rennais.
