Alberto Costa could leave Juventus in the summer transfer window and Brighton and Fulham can emerge as potential destinations for the defender.

The versatile full-back arrived at the Italian giants from Vitoria de Guimaraes after the Seagulls provided stiff competition to land him, there was talk that they were being an ‘irritant’ in the entire saga.

TuttoJuve’s Mirko di Natale has reported that months after Costa’s arrival in Turin, he could now be leaving and Brighton could return to the fore for him. Fulham can also emerge as a potential candidate in the summer.

So far, Sporting, Braga, Porto and Galatasaray have sought information about signing the full-back and so have some clubs in Italy. Nothing concrete has happened but things can change in the next few months.

The report believes that if Brighton and Fulham have a chance, they would only be able to sign Costa on a loan deal. Juventus want to have a say about the 21-year-old, who is seen as a raw talent that needs nourishing further.

He has played only four games in all competitions for the Old Lady and the decision about his future will be made at the end of the season.
