Brighton & Hove Albion and Crystal Palace are set to provide competition to West Ham United in the chase for Corinthians’ Wesley Gassova, according to Goal in Brazil.
The 19-year-old has scored five goals and registered two assists from 25 games this year, and has caught the attention of European clubs.
West Ham United and Atlético Madrid have already made contact with the winger and these two clubs were in the picture before Brighton and Crystal Palace.
It’s explained that the Seagulls and Oliver Glasner’s side ‘entered the game’ and both have asked about the Brazilian.
There’s no mention whether the Premier League duo could consider taking further steps to try to sign the youngster in the summer window.
Goal add Wesley also received ‘unofficial’ approaches from Atlético, as well as Real Betis. Los Rojiblancos haven’t made an offer yet while Betis aren’t willing, or frankly able, to meet the request to secure his services.
Corinthians want €30m to part ways with Wesley in the summer window and have already rejected West Ham’s offer, which didn’t meet their demand. Goal add intermediaries are of the belief the transfer could be concluded for less than €30m.
Brighton and Crystal Palace have been told the conditions needed to sign the youngster, and it’s now down to them to make a decision.
