On Thursday, we covered claims from Belgium explaining that Brentford’s concerns over Antonio Nusa’s knee were unfounded.

The Bees wanted to sign him in the winter market but the deal didn’t go through after they found a piece of loose cartilage in his knee during his medical. The latest tests have shown the winger’s future is ‘not in danger’ and there’s ‘little harm’ to his knee.

Brentford have to make a decision on whether or not to go ahead and sign the 18-year-old and Voetbalkrant now provide the latest on their stance.

Although there are no serious concerns over Nusa’s knee, it doesn’t mean he’ll end up at the London club.

Thomas Frank’s side had agreed a deal worth €37m with Club Brugge last month, before the deal was put on hold. The two clubs held further talks earlier this week.

It’s explained that Brentford are now ‘unsure’ of proceeding with the deal on the agreed terms as they ‘no longer feel like’ paying €37m for the Norway international. Voetbalkrant say this is their own information but they don’t mention the fee the Bees would want to offer.

Meanwhile, Club Brugge CEO Vincent Mannaert wants to ‘stand his ground’, meaning he isn’t willing to lower the price for Nusa.
