Fiorentina’s Igor has ended up in the sights of Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion and Leeds United, according to a report from Italy.
Operating in the heart of the back four, he has been a regular for the Serie A side this season, making 20 appearances in all competitions. Firenzeviola state the 24-year-old is a ‘modern’ centre-back, which is why he is in demand.
Apart from Brentford, Brighton and Leeds, Atlético Madrid, Sevilla and Real Betis also have the defender on their agenda.
Fiorentina have ‘immediately raised the wall’ to retain the Brazilian after the interest shown by clubs in England and Spain. Igor has a contract until 2024 and La Viola have an option to extend it further by a year. He is valued at over €20m.
Should the South American continue to shine for Fiorentina, one of his suitors, including Brentford, Brighton and Leeds, could make a concrete move to secure his services.
Fiorentina will have a decision to make on whether to sell the player or extend his contract by offering ‘excellent terms’.
