Following recent reports about the talks between Nottingham Forest and Santos for the transfer of Angelo, it seems a deal is getting closer now.
That information was brought by journalist André Hernan, who today took part in Camisa 21’s show Meiuca, on Youtube.
When speaking of Santos’ news, Hernan claimed that the club are ready to let the wonderkid move to Nottingham Forest.
“Santos are just waiting for official documentation from Nottingham Forest to sell Angelo. They will sell now.”
The first reports about Nottingham Forest’s chase for Angelo said the club wanted the player on a loan with an obligatory buying clause, where they’d pay €18m for the transfer.
At the weekend, the Brazilian media came up with updates saying Santos made a counteroffer. The Peixe apparently wanted €1m for the loan, and then would take the €18m fee in case the Reds do not get relegated to the Championship next season.
It’s obvious Santos were not asking for a lot more, and that’s why it’d be no surprise to see Nottingham Forest accepting those conditions.
With Hernan’s new report, it seems it won’t take long until that transfer is confirmed.
