Having scored six goals for Nice in his past three games, Alassane Pléa, if he hadn’t already, has caught the eye of a few clubs around Europe.

Back in February, we relayed a claim from L’Equipe that Claude Puel, who managed him during his time at Nice, was keeping an eye on the striker for next season for Leicester City.

However, he isn’t the only club in England to be interested in what the 25-year-old has to offer, as the same newspaper reveal on Friday that Bournemouth are also interested in Pléa.

L’Equipe, who also state that Valencia in Spain are following him, go as far as saying there’s a very good chance the striker, who can also play down the wing, will leave Nice for pastures new in the summer.

If that is indeed the case, then both Bournemouth and Leicester have an advantage over their Spanish counterparts, since Pléa appears to have a preference for playing in England.

Of course, with Valencia currently fourth in La Liga, just one point behind Real Madrid, the lure of European football could cause him to change his mind.

We’ll have to wait and see, but with Callum Wilson currently their top goalscorer with seven goals in the league, the Cherries could certainly do with someone capable of hitting double figures regularly, and it appears Eddie Howe is working on sorting that out.
