Earlier on Tuesday, we covered a story that appeared in L’Equipe regarding Claude Puel’s alleged interest in Alassane Pléa.

The Leicester City manager is said to be keeping an eye on the 24-year-old’s performances, although that’s as far as things go for now, with no enquiries or bids to talk about just yet.

However, the fact a club in the Premier League is interested in what he’s doing will be great news for Pléa, who, according to France Football, only has eyes for English football.

The French magazine, in their weekly edition, reveal the striker turned down the opportunity to go to Villarreal, who were very much after him in January, and is planning on doing the same with any offers that don’t come from the other side of the Channel.

Unless, of course, they’re too good to refuse.

The Nice striker, who played under the Leicester City manager during his time in charge of the club, has been in decent form for the Ligue 1 side, scoring 10 goals in 33 appearances this season.
