For the past few weeks, Birmingham City’s Jordan James has been a target for Atalanta.

Two days ago, Gazzetta dello Sport reported the two clubs are still far apart with their valuation. This is now echoed by Tutto Atalanta, who share the latest on this case.

The Serie A side are focused on signing the Birmingham City player in the winter market, but the deal remains complicated.

The midfielder has less than 18 months left on his deal and the Blues have an option to extend it for another year.

Even though the two clubs have been in advanced negotiations, La Dea and Birmingham City haven’t yet found an agreement that satisfies all parties.

It’s claimed the Championship side are requesting €10m to part ways with the 19-year-old and this is a ‘significant obstacle’ for La Dea, to secure his services. Despite this, the discussions are ongoing between the two clubs.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side continue with their efforts and Tutto Atalanta add the ‘next few days’ will be crucial to try and sort out the agreement.

James has scored six goals from 30 games for Birmingham City this season.
