The approach to this summer’s transfer window has been quite similar to the last one for Manchester United, at leats in terms of a potential big incoming signing for the club.

Jadon Sancho has been repeatedly linked, just like he was a year ago, but things may be quite different this time.

Back then it seemed like there was much more talk than actual action regarding the Red Devils and the England international, with Borussia Dortmund insisting they hadn’t even received an official offer for the player.

Bild now report Manchester United have submitted a ‘first, official offer’ for Sancho, although it’s not what BVB will have been hoping for.

The German newspaper state the English club have proposed a fee of £60m, which Bild convert to €69m.

It’s not explicitly stated that has been rejected, although Bild insist Dortmund are looking for €90m, with bonuses added to that figure.

Nevertheless, they believe things are now getting serious, and it does feel like there’s much more happening this summer than last. Personal terms are not thought to be an issue, with the Dortmund player and Manchester United having already agreed on that.
