With Dusan Vlahovic becoming one of the main targets in the European market, Fiorentina clearly need to adopt a good strategy to either hold him or make a big sale.
The club’s plans are today detailed by journalist Enzo Bucchioni, who, on Firenze Viola, explains what they’ll need to do in case some big sides come for him.
The story mentions that Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur are two of the main competitors for the signing, with Spurs having a couple of factors that give them a boost in the chase.
First thing is that Fabio Paratici knows the player well and would even have accepted him at the Old Lady, the club he worked for until this summer, so the striker becomes a target for the London side as well.
The other reason is that Spurs are ‘ready to invest’ in a replacement for Kane, and Bucchioni believes the Fiorentina star would be the right man for that place.
“Many clubs are ready to invest in a young striker like Vlahovic. I say one: Tottenham. Like the sporting director, there is Paratici who would have gladly taken him for Juve as well. Kane wants to leave, he has asked to be sold and who better to take over than Vlahovic?,” he asks.
It’s now believed that Fiorentina would like to keep the striker for one more year, but in case he chooses not to sign a new contract with them, there’s the chance of an ‘auction’ being made by La Viola this summer.
