Tottenham Hotspur’s Manor Solomon spent this season on loan at Leeds United and impressed for the Whites.
The winger scored 10 goals and registered 13 assists from 41 games across all competitions for Leeds. This includes a late winner in Leeds’ 2-1 win over Plymouth Argyle and that was crucial in helping Daniel Farke’s side win the Championship.
Leeds have already secured promotion, but it’s unclear whether the 25-year-old will be at Elland Road next season.
The Israel international has to return to Tottenham as Leeds haven’t secured a purchase option. Marseille are eyeing a move for him in the summer window and journalist Sacha Tavolieri, writing in his column for Sky Sport CH, provides the latest.
He claims the Ligue 1 club’s scout has watched the Tottenham owned player several times in action for Leeds. The journalist states Solomon’s entourage have informed him about the French club’s interest and the parties have started discussions.
Roberto De Zerbi has recommended signing the attacker, and Tavolieri believes it is a way to apply ‘pressure and impose his conditions’ to continue at Marseille. They haven’t yet held talks with Tottenham, who are said to be demanding €20m for the player.
Solomon will have to make a decision, especially if Leeds return for him. The Whites have to act fast as Marseille are making efforts to snatch him from their clutches.
