Over the past 48 hours or so, Nottingham Forest have made concrete advances to sign AS Roma’s Edoardo Bove. The midfielder is not included in Daniele De Rossi’s plans and the Serie A side are keen to offload him before the window closes on Friday.
Earlier today, Corriere dello Sport reported the 22-year-old is one step away from joining the Reds.
It was also stated he has said yes to Nottingham Forest, who have proposed a €10m offer to Roma. The Italian seemed to be on his way to the Premier League side, before a new twist emerged in this case.
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports Eintracht Frankfurt have stepped in to snatch Bove from Nottingham Forest’s clutches. He adds the German club are now ‘ahead’ of Nuno Espírito Santo’s side in the transfer race, but Forest certainly aren’t out of it.
According to Di Marzio, the Bundesliga side have contacted Roma to sign Bove on a loan deal with an option to buy.
If Corriere’s earlier report is to be believed, Nottingham Forest have made an offer to buy the player.
Nothing is ever simple for Forest.
