Aston Villa are currently the only club showing ‘real interest’ in Joao Felix, reports Marca on Monday.
The Portugal international is said to have snubbed Villa during the January window, before moving to Chelsea on loan.
The Blues didn’t make efforts to extend his stay with them, instead moving on to other options on the market, and he’s now back in preseason training with Atletico Madrid.
He wants out, Atletico are also willing to part ways, but there’s not a lot of interest.
Aston Villa are presented as the only option right now, but Joao Felix wants Champions League football next season and is setting his sights higher than Unai Emery’s side.
His camp have contacted PSG on multiple occasions, trying to drum up some interest from the French club. They haven’t had any luck and Marca make it clear there’s absolutely no interest from Paris.
Other Champions League clubs have been linked, but none of them appear keen to make an effort.
That leaves Aston Villa, but if Joao Felix, especially after all his previous problems, doesn’t feel the club is big enough for him, then it’s perhaps best for Emery’s side to move on.
