Friday morning seems a busy one in the summer transfer window, as deals around Europe edge closer to completion and new rumours also pop up.
Wesley Moraes has been linked with a switch to Levante repeatedly this week, with the Spanish club working to agree a deal with Aston Villa. The Brazilian moved to the Premier League side from Club Brugge in 2019, for a fee of more than £20m, and that level of transfer fee has caused some excitement around Levante.
However, since that big 2019 move, Wesley has faced multiple issues largely related to injuries. He’s been back on loan at Club Brugge, and was then sent, also on loan, to Internacional.
Aston Villa have him on a contract until June 2024, so will still have some hope of eventually getting a transfer fee.
Super Deporte report Wesley has now arrived in Valencia, taking a flight from Madrid, and he’s pictured holding a Levante scarf. The attacker is set to have a detailed medical, which will be more rigorous than usual given his fitness history, and should that all go to plan he’ll sign a loan contract for the coming season.
