According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce have stepped up in their pursuit of Aston Villa attacker Jaden Philogene.
The youngster has been linked with a move to the Istanbul side in recent days despite only signing for Villa during the last transfer window.
Fotomac have reported on the latest developments regarding Fener’s interest in Philogene and they claim the player would be keen on the move in this transfer window.
The Turkish media outlet say the winger has been having his differences with Unai Emery since his move to Villa Park in the summer and could look to push for a new experience.
Fenerbahce vice president Acun Ilıcalı is said to be keen on a reunion with Philogene following their time at Hull City last season, and has also reportedly convinced Jose Mourinho over the player.
Subsequently the Hull City owner is looking to sit down with Aston Villa and Philogene to commence transfer talks. In recent days his agent has also talked up a move to the Super Lig giants.
Since returning to Villa Park, Philogene has made 15 appearances. He’s contracted to the Premier League side until June 2029.
