Fenerbahce’s chase for West Ham United defender Thilo Kehrer seems to be heating up.
The Turkish side are in need of some January reinforcements, and as their director Selahattin Baki went to London for some signings, there was contact for the 27-year-old.
The information is brought by Dirilis Potasi, and says the Fenerbahce chief sat down with people at West Ham to discuss the transfer.
Baki then spoke to Kehrer himself, along with his agent Dirk Hebel, to discuss the conditions for a winter move.
According to the report, the defender ‘asked for time’ to analyse the offer and should soon make a decision on the potential departure from West Ham.
The Hammers spent €12m to sign Kehrer from Paris Saint Germain in the summer of 2022, and it’s not yet said how much Fenerbahce would like to spend on the signing.
The defender made 11 appearances for the club this season, with only 374 minutes on the pitch so far, and that’s the main reason why this operation is now seen as possible for all parties involved.
