Arsenal youngster to become club’s ‘surprise addition’ – Already arrived in city, medical in ‘next few hours’

On Monday, we covered claims from Italy which stated Genoa’s deal to sign Arsenal’s Brooke Norton-Cuffy is almost done.

The Serie A side have made progress in securing the 20-year-old’s services this summer, according to multiple claims from Italy.

Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio says Genoa concluded negotiations with Arsenal on Tuesday, to buy the right-back for €2m plus €2m in bonuses. The Gunners will be entitled to receive a percentage of a future sale.

The defender has already arrived in Italy, to carry out his medical on Wednesday and other transfer formalities to seal a move to the Serie A side. Di Marzio shared a photo of Norton-Cuffy in Genoa.

The England U21 international is a ‘surprise addition’ for Genoa, who completed negotiations with Mikel Arteta’s side two days ago.

TMW state the fullback will undergo medical examinations in the ‘next few hours’ and will meet his new teammates later today, then he will start training for the league clash against Inter Milan on Saturday.
