Earlier this month, Corriere dello Sport explained that Arsenal are fighting with AC Milan and Juventus for Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee.
The striker has scored 11 goals and registered six assists from 33 games this season. At the weekend, Tuttosport reported his fine displays have been tempting the Gunners and the Serie A duo.
It was also said the 22-year-old has no plans to return to his former club, Bayern Munich, who have a buyback clause of €40m.
A report from Calciomercato mentions Arsenal when discussing the Rossoneri’s desire to sign the player.
The San Siro club have been working on trying to sign the Dutchman for months. Milan technical director Geoffrey Moncada and their advisor, Zlatan Ibrahimović, have identified Zirkzee as the favourite striker target.
It won’t be easy for the Italian club to sign the frontman because Mikel Arteta’s side are keen on signing him. In fact, the report says Arsenal are Milan’s ‘most dangerous rival’ in the chase for the Bologna star.
It’s further claimed the north London club are ‘ready to offer’ him a package worth €6m net per season, and Milan may find it difficult to match Arsenal’s proposal.
Zirkzee seems to be on his way out of Bologna and it needs to be seen where he’ll end up next.
