With recent reports claiming Arsenal winger Willian could soon be leaving the club to join Al-Ahly, the Brazilian press were quick to respond to the rumours.
ESPN Brasil journalist Gustavo Hofman today reports that the 32-year-old hasn’t received an offer from the Saudi side.
He adds that even if the offer was real, Willian would not accept to join Al-Ahly at this time in his career.
Hofman still claims that even though this move isn’t happening, it’s still not guaranteed that the winger will stay at Arsenal for the season.
Following rumours of a move, Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola also reported that the winger has no intention of playing in his home country so soon.
So even though there’s a chance Willian could leave Arsenal this summer, it’s becoming clear that he’s not interested in going too far away from Europe.
