Arsenal have a firm interest in Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhailo Mudryk and have already made efforts to sign him in the winter market.
On December 28th, TuttoMercatoWeb stated the Gunners could increase their offer after their €40m bid was not accepted by the Ukrainian club, while their assistant sporting director, Carlo Nicolini, has insisted his side value Mudryk at around €100m.
In order to convince Shakhtar, Arsenal have tabled a ‘new offer’ to bring the winger to the north London club.
That’s according to a latest report from TuttoMercatoWeb, who mention about the €40m bid tabled by the Premier League side last week.
In the ‘new offer’, there is no change in the fixed fee [still at €40m], but Mikel Arteta’s side have substantial raised the bonuses to €20m to take the overall fee to €60m, but this it is still ‘not enough’ as Shakhtar want €70m.
There is ‘still a large distance’ between the two clubs over supply and demand, and the Italian website explain it won’t be easy to reduce the gap, even though there are still four weeks left in this window.
Earlier on Tuesday, Sportanalytic.com stated the winger has already held talks with Arteta regarding the role he would have at the Emirates, if he joins Arsenal.
