João Gomes’ impressive performances for Wolverhampton Wanderers have drawn the attention of a few clubs, including Manchester United and Arsenal.
The midfielder has been a regular ever since he arrived at Molineux from Flamengo in January 2023. On March 25th, Calciomercato.it stated the Red Devils are looking at him for the next window.
Manchester United’s interest is backed up by today’s edition of O Dia, who also mention Arsenal as a contender for the Wolves player.
The north London club are presented as more serious than Manchester United, as O Dia say Arsenal ‘may make an offer’ to Wolves for the Brazil international when the window opens. The report makes no mention of the fee the Emirates club may offer.
However, they do state Mikel Arteta’s side will go further in their discussions with Gary O’Neil’s side for Gomes, again indicating Arsenal are more serious than Manchester United.
Gomes has made 31 appearances this season, managing two goals and an assist in the process. His contract at Wolves lasts until 2028, with an option for another year.
