Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán has ended up on Arsenal’s transfer agenda for the winter market.
That’s according to AS in Colombia, who make it clear this is their own information about Arsenal’s interest in the striker.
Durán has scored six goals for Aston Villa this season and it includes a winner against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Earlier this month, Unai Emery’s side rewarded him with a new deal until 2030.
That hasn’t stopped the 20-year-old from attracting interest from other clubs, including Arsenal. It’s claimed several teams have contacted the Villans to ask the fee needed to secure the Colombia international’s services.
Among these clubs, the Gunners and Barcelona are the ‘two big teams’ that are keen on signing him in January.
The report states Aston Villa have informed Arsenal and the La Liga side that they need €90m for the star and ‘no less than’ that.
Barca are unlikely to meet Aston Villa’s request, at least in the next window, considering their own financial situation into account. This could give Arsenal an easy route, as long as they can convince both Emery’s side and Durán.
