Arsenal could be given their chance to sign long-term target Evan Ndicka on the cheap in January as Eintracht Frankfurt look to avoid him leaving on a free in the summer.
Calciomercato.it explain that the defender is being targeted by Juventus and AC Milan, who are both looking to do business in January.
They’ve made initial overtures about a deal and learned that Frankfurt’s initial request would be for €10-12m.
However, a deal could be closed at €8-9m, with the German club ‘not putting up any resistance’ to a sale as they want to avoid losing him on a free.
Ndicka current deal expires in the summer, and he will be free to negotiate with clubs around Europe about a free move in the summer once January comes around.
That’s alerted Milan and Juventus, but also Roma, who are also keeping an eye on him and could enter the fight for his signature.
Arsenal are also likely to be watching how things develop given their longstanding interest in the defender.
They’ve been linked with a move for the centre-back for the best part of the last two years and a move has been mooted again this week, with reports stating that Arsenal are at the front of the queue.
That followed a claim in September that they see the player as an ‘opportunity’ to be taken, although they will face competition to do so.
