Turkish newspaper Sabah claim Arsenal are monitoring the progress of Galatasaray defender Ozan Kabak, with the player impressing for his club this season.

The 18 year old defender came though Galatasaray’s academy and has become a regular starter in Fatih Terim’s team this campaign.

Recent reports in the Italian media claimed Inter Milan are looking to sign Kabak by meeting his €7.5m termination fee, but Sabah say the youngster doesn’t actually have a buyout clause written into his contract with Galatasaray

Sabah claim that along with Inter Milan, Arsenal are also interested in the young defender and are said to be closely following him. There are no reports whether Arsenal have made an approach for Kabak or made an offer.

It’s also reported Galatasaray are looking extend Kabak’s contract due to the interest from other clubs.  The Istanbul club are hoping to tie the player down by offering him a five year contract.

Kabak has made 10 appearances for Galatasaray this season, with two of those coming in the Champions League.
