Last week, Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali revealed Arsenal have an interest in Manuel Locatelli.

Juventus also want the midfielder, who is currently with Italy preparing for the Euro 2020 semi-final clash against Spain.

On Monday, Gazzetta dello Sport reported the Gunners have made a ‘formal offer’, while the Turin club are expected to accelerate their efforts for the player this week.

The 23-year-old has reportedly made it clear he wants to join the Old Lady despite the north London club tabling a formal offer.

According to Il Bianconero, Juve will meet their Serie A counterparts in the coming days, and their aim is to beat competition from Mikel Arteta’s side to secure the player’s services.

Another report from the same website explains the English club ‘does not give up’ in their efforts to acquire the Italy international’s signature.

Arsenal, as of now, are the only club to make a ‘serious offer’ for Locatelli, and have ‘no intention to leave Juventus free’ in the race to land the player.

If Juventus want to fulfil Locatelli’s wish, they need to step up their efforts and quickly find an agreement with Sassuolo.
