Earlier this week, Arsenal were linked with a move for Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane.
There was a suggestion of a belief at the London club that the Germany international ‘fits the bill’ for Mikel Arteta.
More positive news has now emerged for any potential Arsenal chase, and it comes from Italy.
TuttoJuve’s Mirko Di Natale reported yesterday that while Juventus have made contact for the winger, it was only an informal approach to explore the 29-year-old’s situation at Bayern Munich.
The journalist believes that Arsenal are ‘above all’ when it comes to those interested in the former Manchester City man, and the good news for them is that Juventus are currently not keen on the player.
More than that, Sane would also be willing to take a wage cut in his next move and Arsenal could certainly benefit from that.
The ex-City star’s current deal at the Allianz Arena runs out in the summer transfer window and if he does take a wage cut, Arteta’s side could end up thrashing out an economic deal.
After all, Arsenal are no strangers to signing ex-City players and Sane could be next in line.
