Sometimes dreams just aren’t what you thought they would be and for João Palhinha, his move to Bayern Munich from Fulham certainly applies.

SportBILD put the latest dagger into that move’s back today, labelling him a flop and one of the ‘10 worst signings of the season’.

Palhinha joined Bayern in a €51m deal from Fulham in the summer after narrowly missing out on the same move in the January transfer window.

He arrived in Munich with a glowing reputation from his time in the Premier League, where he had starred for Fulham, established himself as one of the leading midfielders in the division and earned plenty of admirers in the top six.

He’s never found his feet at Bayern, though, failing to fit into Vincent Kompany’s system and suffering several injuries which have limited his time on the pitch. His record is 23 games, no goals and no assists.

SportBILD report that Palhinha wants to stay this summer and, but Bayern want to offload him, ideally without a loss. That would only be possible if he returns to the Premier League.

He still has a good reputation in England following his time with Fulham, but it remains to be seen if anyone bites, particularly with him now a flop in Germany and labelled one of the ’10 worst signings of the season.’
