As widely reported in the past few days, Hannibal Mejbri is getting loaned by Manchester United to Sevilla.
The midfielder is set to play for the La Liga side until the end of the season, with the club having a €20m buying option over him.
As French outlet RMC Sport now covers the deal, they bring some information on Manchester United’s buy-back clause over the player.
According to the website, the Red Devils will have the chance of bringing the midfielder back to Old Trafford by paying Sevilla a €35m fee.
Journalist Fabrice Hawkins is the one with the information, claiming the medical tests went OK and the contract was signed with his agent, Rochild Dzabana.
Hannibal joined Manchester United back in 2019, when the Red Devils spent €10m to take him out of Monaco’s academy.
The midfielder spent the last season on loan at Birmingham City, and this season, wasn’t much used by Erik ten Hag, with just 10 appearances made.
Now it’s time for him to prove himself at Sevilla, and maybe even return to Manchester United in the future, whether it be in six months if they don’t trigger the option or potentially longer if they do.
