According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray are closing in on a deal for Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Mario Lemina.

The 31-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to his former club in recent weeks and it seems like his time with Wolves is coming to an end.

Fanatik report on Galatasaray’s pursuit for Lemina as they look to bring in a central midfielder before the Super Lig deadline.

It’s claimed the Gabon international has shook hands with the Istanbul giants and has agreed to an annual salary of €2.5m, which could be after tax.

The Turkish media outlet say Cimbom now just need to agree the transfer fee with Wolves before getting the player’s signature.

Gala want to bolster their central midfield options in this window and are keen to bring in competition for Gabriel Sara and Lucas Torreira. As previously reported, Lemina is also eager to sign for the Istanbul side, with his Wolves career clearly at an end.

The Premier League club do have the option to extend his contract for another season, but given the issues they’ve had with him in recent weeks this looks unlikely.
