Last month, we covered Nottingham Forest’s interest in signing Corinthians star Wesley and interest from Napoli was also reported. Forest now seem to be firmly in the race for the Brazilian talent and they may get some help in their pursuit.

UOL have reported on Forest likely being handed a boost in their chase for the 19-year-old.

Al-Nassr had come forward for the striker and Corinthians received a bid of about €25m for him.

The move fell through, as there was an issue in the agreement between the agents and intermediaries. This ended up annoying the Saudi club, but that would please the Reds and has swung things in their favour.

The English club are ‘preparing’ an offer that is going to be between €20m and €25m and Corinthians are aware of it.

West Ham have been named as a potential suitor and Fulham are also said to be an interested party, with the Brazilian side keen on moving Wesley on this summer.

Despite the obstacles faced in the Al-Nassr move that fell through, Corinthians hope to sell the teenager. As of now, they own 70% of the player’s transfer rights and the sale would help them from a financial viewpoint.
