Joshua Zirkzee could divert Bologna’s Dan Ndoye to Manchester United this summer, with an auction set to be unleashed for him.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who throw Manchester United into the mix for the 24-year-old winger and believe Zirkzee could prove useful in any pursuit for him.
The newspaper reports that Ndoye is the latest ‘explosion’ from the ‘Bologna gold mine’ and clubs are likely to be lining up for him in the summer. Antonio Conte already wanted him at Napoli to replace Khvicha Kvaratshkelia in January.
Bologna resisted and said no at the time, but it may be more difficult in the summer, when an auction is likely to be unleashed.
The Italian club are likely to be unable to resist bids, despite Ndoye having a deal until 2027 with an option of another year.
Napoli are likely to return by Manchester United should not be underestimated either because of his close friend Joshua Zirkzee. The feeling is that Zirkzee could divert his former teammate to Old Trafford and do them a favour.
Bologna won’t let him leave for cheap regardless as they consider him ‘untouchable’ and want at least €30m if the winger is to leave.
Whether Manchester United will be willing to pay that remains to be seen but Gazzetta insist they’re in the mix and could use agent Zirkzee to win any battle with the likes of Napoli.
