English and Spanish clubs have already asked about Brighton & Hove Albion defender Pervis Estupiñán, but nobody knows what the Seagulls transfer stance will be with the defender.

That’s according to his agent Manuel Sierra, who has admitted he is fielding calls regarding his client after his performances under Roberto De Zerbi.

Estupiñán has established himself as a key player since arriving in a €17.8m deal from Villarreal in August 2022 as a replacement for Marc Cucurella.

He quickly helped Brighton to forget about the Spaniard, with a series of impressive performances at left-back playing as a flying, attacking winger under De Zerbi quickly catching the eye.

A tally of eight assists and one goal in 41 games in all competitions last season was further evidence of his ability, and he’s continued this season in similar form, with three assists and one goal in eight games so far.

Numbers like those, particularly for a left-back, mean he is very much in the spotlight as clubs continue to monitor Brighton and their seemingly endless conveyor belt of talent.

Indeed, he is one of several players at the club who could be the next to secure a big transfer and Sierra admits he’s received calls but doesn’t know the Seagulls’ ideas.

“Pervis is a super interesting player, who several teams from the Premier are keen on,” El Universo quote him saying to Cobertura de Quito.

“Spanish football and others have asked about his situation, because they are looking for a left back and he is one of the best in the world in his position.

“We have to be prepared with him (for a possible transfer), we don’t even know what Brighton is going to ask for, people are a little afraid of the club (due to Caicedo’s transfer and his negotiations).

“We will see in the summer how his situation is, now he is injured and will have a maximum of a month.”
