Jorginho arrived at Chelsea from Napoli in the summer of 2018, following Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues parted ways with the manager after one season and since then, the midfielder has been linked with a return to Serie A.
Sarri was in charge of Juventus last season and the Brazil-born Italy international was heavily linked with a move to the Turin club, until the Old Lady sacked the coach after the end of the last campaign.
João Santos, the agent of the Chelsea player had earlier admitted Sarri was keen on signing his client for Juventus.
The representative has given another interview to Radio Kiss Kiss, where he discussed Jorginho’s plans with Italy in 2021.
“It was a great year for Jorge, he did very well in the national team as well. Next year there will be the European Championship, where he hopes to do very well with Italy,” Corriere dello Sport quoted Santos as saying.
“As for Chelsea, they are not very well placed in the table now, but being a young team, it takes time.”
Jorginho’s agent also stressed the 29-year-old is happy at the west London club and then followed it up by saying, “but he would certainly like to return to Italy at the end of the contract”.
His contract at Chelsea runs down in 2023 and Santos’ comments indicate the English side are not ready to offer a new deal to the midfielder.
Frank Lampard hasn’t relied much on Jorginho in the last two months as the latter was left on the bench in five of the last eight league matches.
