Nottingham Forest are reportedly keen on signing Wolverhampton Wanderers‘ Marshall Munetsi in the summer window.
The midfielder arrived at Molineux from Stade de Reims in February 2025 when Vítor Pereira in charge at Wolves.
Pereira left Wolves in November and Nottingham Forest appointed him as their manager in February. He reportedly wants to reunite with the Wolves man at the City Ground next season.
On Tuesday, Sport Witness covered claims from France that the Reds are making progress in their discussions with Wolves. The same source stated Pereira is pushing for the 29-year-old’s signing.
The Wolves owned player has been on loan at Paris FC since January and his desire is to continue in France.
Earlier this month, he opened the door to extend his stay with the Ligue 1 side beyond this season. The Zimbabwe international said both he and his family are happy with their life in France.
Since joining Paris FC on loan, he scored four goals and contributed two assists from 14 matches.
His Ligue 1 stats are as follows:
- Appearances: 13
- Starts: 9
- Total minutes: 834
- Minutes per game: 64
French accuse Wolves of sales tactics
Jeunes Footeux relay Tuesday’s claims of Nottingham Forest’s progress in discussions with Wolves for Marshall Munetsi and then provide their own take on this case.
Paris FC are watching Vítor Pereira’s side hold talks with Wolves without even sitting at the negotiating table.
The midfielder prioritises continuing with his current club, who don’t have an obligation or option to buy.
Wolves are seen as leaking their negotiations with Nottingham Forest. Internally at Paris FC, the Molineux club’s move is seen as a ‘pressure tactic’.
For now, there’s been no formal talks between the French club and Wolves. If the former want to retain Munetsi, they will have to act quickly to try and get ahead of the Reds.

The Zimbabwean’s contract at Wolves runs down in 2028 and Transfermarkt value him at €12m.
