Bournemouth are showing an interest in AS Roma defender Evan Ndicka ahead of the summer transfer window.

225 Foot report exclusive information on the 26-year-old today, reporting that Bournemouth’s scouts have put the defender among their summer priorities.

Bournemouth planning

The website reports that Bournemouth are already planning for next season under new manager Marco Rose. With a potential European campaign on the way, they want to strengthen.

According to 225 Foot’s information, Evan Ndicka’s profile has caught their eye. His combination of physical strength and international experience has ‘become the priority’ for the Premier League club’s scouts.

For the time being, no offer has been made to Roma. But Ndicka is highly regarded within the club after impressing at Roma.

He joined the Italian side on a free transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023 and has since established himself as a key player at the club. He’s now rated at €35m, and this summer could be key as he enters the final two years of his deal.

There is also growing concern at Roma that they need to sell this summer. The Serie A side are under pressure from UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations. They need to generate cash this summer from sales.

€40m asking price

Evan Ndicka is one of those with suitors across Europe. And the Giallorossi will not rule out a departure should a convincing offer be made. Roma would like to earn at least €40m from any sale.

Whether that is a figure Bournemouth would be willing to pay, isn’t made clear. But they will need a replacement for Marcos Senesi this summer as he’s set to depart on a free transfer.

The Argentine is a key player in their defence so money will need to be spent on a long-term replacement. Ndicka could be that player, and it appears he’s on the list after impressing the Cherries’ scouts.
