Diego Carlos is set to land at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport in the early hours of Tuesday. Despite it being through the night, there will still be some expectation for Fenerbahce fans to be there to greet the defender.
The signing from Aston Villa is being seen as a big deal in Turkey and Carlos will be welcomed warmly by the Istanbul club’s fans.
News that Carlos is flying out to Turkey to complete his Aston Villa exit has obviously reached the media close to Sevilla. They have interest for two reason, one because the Brazilian used to play for Sevilla, and secondly because an offer is subsequently expected for Loïc Badé.
That has already arrived, at least according to claims from Spanish journalist Gonzalo Tortosa on Monday afternoon.
Based in Seville, Tortosa reports for El Chiringuito and has claimed an offer worth €21m plus a potential €4m in bonus payments has arrived.
Sevilla are said to be asking for €30m, which is ambitious to say the least.
Tortosa quite strongly insists no agreement has been reached between Loïc Badé and Aston Villa yet.
