On Tuesday, we covered claims from Paraguay which stated Brighton & Hove Albion and Julio Enciso are negotiating a new deal. It was also reported the renewal is needed for the Seagulls to sanction a loan move in the winter market.

Later that day, journalist Dominik Schneider said the 20-year-old is refusing to sign a new deal at The Amex.

Versus in Paraguay back that up and give an insight into why the Brighton player isn’t keen on renewing his contract.

The attacking midfielder clocked in 287 minutes from 11 league games this season and that includes two starts. Fabian Hürzeler has handed him more minutes in the past month, but the report states Enciso is ‘not very comfortable’ under the manager.

Therefore, the Paraguay international has requested to change clubs in the winter market and his plan is to go out on loan where he can enjoy regular game time.

According to Versus, the South American’s entourage are studying several offers and have two weeks to find a solution.

Brighton would like to renew his contract, but Enciso is reluctant because he sees his long term future away from the Amex. Therefore, he’s looking for a club in January and the Seagulls have a decision to make.
