Manchester United and Aston Villa are in the picture to sign Atalanta star Éderson this summer, according to AS.

The midfielder made 53 appearances last season. His displays for the Serie A side helped him make debut for Brazil in June, and it has also caught the attention of other clubs.

This includes Manchester United, Aston Villa and Atlético Madrid.

The Europa League winners value him at €60m, but their desire is to retain him. Despite this, the report says several clubs will try to sign the 25-year-old in this window.

AS say clubs have made approaches for Éderson. With regards to Manchester United, it’s claimed they are in ‘constant talks with all parties’ involved. He’s an option for the Red Devils if they fail to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte.

Aston Villa are also looking at the Brazil international, after losing his compatriot, Douglas Luiz, to Juventus. The report explains Unai Emery ‘wishes’ to sign him for the Champions League campaign.

Atlético took further steps by tabling a €45m bid for the South American. Atalanta weren’t impressed and rejected it, which is why the La Liga side have ended their interest.

Éderson has left the door open for a transfer. It remains to be seen if Manchester United, Aston Villa or another club will be able to sign him in the next few weeks.
