Last month, Torino Granata reported Aston Villa are among the clubs following Torino’s Raoul Bellanova.
Aston Villa have monitored the right-back on several occasions in recent months and a club official was in Italy at the weekend to watch him live again in his side’s win over AC Milan.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who add the Villans had also followed Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries.
Aston Villa are looking to strengthen the right-back position in the summer window and the focus seems to be on Bellanova. It’s claimed several clubs are ‘crazy’ about the 24-year-old, including Unai Emery’s side.
In fact, the report says ‘Aston Villa insist’ on signing the Italy international in the summer window. The Birmingham club have qualified for the Champions League and will use that to ‘try to seduce’ him.
Torino invested €7m to buy the fullback from Cagliari last summer and the outlet says it will cost €25m to sign him in the next window.
Aston Villa are certainly presented as keen, but the report makes no mention if they are ready to meet the Turin club’s request.
Bellanova’s deal lasts until 2027, and he’s managed one goal and seven assists from 38 games this season.
