The Spanish media is sounding quite happy that Manchester City may not have Kyle Walker available for the first Champions League clash against Real Madrid.

Pep Guardiola has made it clear it’s nearly impossible that the fullback will recover in time for the match, and Marca now talks about the big impact of that news.

The outlet highlights that Walker and Vinícius Junior have been holding great battles in the past few years, with the Manchester City player proving to be a good antidote to the Brazilian.

It’s said the Englishman has been a ‘nightmare’ for the Real Madrid star, just like he’s been to Kylian Mbappé and others, and his absence should end up having a big impact in this match.

So even though Vinícius was said to be sad that he wouldn’t be facing Walker in the friendly between Brazil and England last month, there’s a reason for relief at Real Madrid about that injury.

As Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will definitely have to set up something special to stop Real Madrid’s attack, we’ll see how Walker’s absence will be dealt with.
