Maximilian Wöber has managed to quickly establish himself at Borussia Mönchengladbach since joining them on loan from Leeds United in the last window.
The defender has two assists from seven games and focusing on his fine displays, Rheinische Post state he has made ‘real progress’, both on and off the pitch.
It’s further claimed a ‘real leader’ has come from Leeds to Gladbach, who are clearly pleased with their decision to take the 25-year-old on loan.
Gladbach took the Austria international on a temporary deal, without any option to make his stay permanent.
Last month, the Leeds owned player said he doesn’t want to talk about the possibility of returning to Elland Road, which is understandable at this stage. Rheinische Post say he’s currently valued at €14m and they’ve urged the German club to ‘do everything they can’ to ‘buy Wöber’.
A lot may depend on whether Leeds United can return to the Premier League immediately, which would again make them an attractive team to play for.
